A Shopoholic's Tip For Closet Storage
Like usual I scored an amazing haul of fabulousness... check out just s few of my favorite finds below.
I went down one row of dresses and found 6 new dresses to take home |
So like I said, that was just a few of my favorites... goodwilling is awesome. Thanks to my love of Goodwill I have had to develop some pretty strict guidelines about wardrobe/storage balance.
I have a small closet and storage is on the minimalist spectrum... Today I would love to share with you one of my most important wardrobe storage maintenance tips. The In and Out Policy...
My In and Out Policy is a must have for any shopoholic. Any given closet has a maximum capacity for hangers. If you go over, it will feel cramped and uncomfortable and it will be hard to get your clothing in and out. not to mention you wont be able to see your clothing options and this will leave you feeling like you have so many clothes and nothing to wear. I know, first world problems... Anyhooo, to avoid over crowding I have a rule that if I buy new things I must get rid of old things that I am not wearing any more. Thus maintaining the perfect closet to hanger ratio. I just get rid of as many things as I need to make room for my new things, usually that is not a one to one ration as I always have a few extra hangers. Doing this keeps your wardrobe fresh and up to date with the ever changing fashion times. You will always feel like you have something cute to wear and getting dressed in the morning and putting your clothes away will be way less stressful. like me on Facebook to keep up to date on other practical storage tips.
